🧪 Not All Materials Are Created Equally
When you shop vinyl overlays, the material matters. We use premium, USA-made film — Dragon Wrap™ Carbon Fiber (3D Carbon) is a 5.6 mil calendered film with a clear, repositionable permanent acrylic adhesive on an air-egress liner. It offers excellent dimensional stability, outstanding outdoor durability, and up to 5-year outdoor life, rated excellent for water, humidity, and solvent resistance. The repositionable adhesive starts with a minimal initial bond that grows permanent, making large pieces far easier to apply. Minimum application temperature: 40°F.
Care: maintain the finish with standard textured-vinyl aftercare — a protectant like Armor All or 303 Aerospace Protectant is recommended. Do not use waxes of any type.
Easy DIY InstallClean the sill area first, ideally in 70–80°F weather, out of direct sunlight and free of any wax. A 10–15% diluted rubbing-alcohol wipe is fine — it flashes off fast and won't harm paint. Then peel, position, and squeegee from the center out. Watch the full walkthrough on the left.
